La poésie de la résistance è un testo teatrale potente e impegnato, scritto da Jan Fabre nel 2024, che celebra la forza dell’arte, della poesia e della resistenza contro l’oppressione. In un manifesto poetico e ritmico, due performer si presentano come membri di un movimento di resistenza artistica, che lotta in modo non violento contro la censura, la soppressione e il conformismo. I loro corpi e le loro parole diventano armi di bellezza, amore e creatività. L’opera è ricca di simbolismi e ripetizioni. I performer vengono “giustiziati” più e più volte da revolver, fucili, mitragliatrici, ma si rialzano, trasformando la violenza in movimento e poesia. Motivo ricorrente è l’atto di tatuare un nome sul corpo, presentato come una tela vivente, uno strumento di sfida che pensa e sente. Dai piedi alla lingua, dal cuore al cervello, ogni parte porta l’impronta dell’amore, della memoria e della lotta. Il nome inciso ancora e ancora è sempre lo stesso: Libertà.
“Créer, c’est résister. Résister c’est créer” (Creare è resistere. Resistere è creare) – Stéphane Hessel, Indignez-vous!. La vera libertà vive nell’arte e in coloro che continuano a sognare, a danzare, a parlare e ad amare, anche se i proiettili continuano ad arrivare.

Annabelle Chambon is a French performer who has been a defining presence in contemporary dance and theater for over two decades. In 1997, she earned the Diplôme National d’Etudes Supérieurs Chorégraphiques from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon in France. Three years later, she joined Troubleyn/Jan Fabre, making her debut in As Long As the World Needs a Warrior’s Soul. She went on to perform in numerous productions with the company, including Les Guerriers de la beauté (a film by Pierre Coulibeuf, 2001), Je suis sang (2001/2003/2005), Parrots and Guinea Pigs (replacement, 2003), Tannhäuser (2004), The Crying Body (2004), History of Tears (2005), Orgy of Tolerance (2008), Prometheus Landscape II (2011), and the monumental Mount Olympus. To Glorify the Cult of Tragedy— a 24-hour performance (2015). She continued her collaborations with Belgium Rules/Belgian Rules (2017), The Fluid Force of Love (2021), and most recently, Peak Mytikas (On the Top of Mount Olympus)—an eight-hour performance (2023). Alongside her extensive stage work, Chambon co-created the acclaimed solo dance piece Preparatio Mortis (2005/2010) with Jan Fabre. Since the inception of the Jan Fabre Teaching Group, she has played a vital role in training new generations of performers. Beyond her collaborations with Fabre, Chambon has spent over 20 years creating original performances with Cédric Charron. She has also worked with artists such as Coraline Lamaison, Kris Verdonck, and Thierry de Mey, among others.
Cédric Charron was born in Bretagne, France. Before pursuing a career in performance and dance, he completed an MA in economics and political sciences in Rennes. In 1997, he
joined P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels to study dance and performance. In 1999, Charron became part of Troubleyn/Jan Fabre, making his debut in As Long As The World Needs a Warrior’s Soul. He went on to perform in several of Fabre’s major works, including Je suis sang (2001), Tannhäuser (2004), The Crying Body (2004), History of Tears (2005), Orgy of Tolerance (2009), Prometheus Landscape II (2011), and Tragedy of a Friendship (2013). He also collaborated on Preparatio Mortis, a solo created for Annabelle Chambon, and danced in Pierre Coulibeuf’s film Les Guerriers de la Beauté. Charron was a key performer in Fabre’s ambitious Mount Olympus. To Glorify the Cult of Tragedy—a 24-hour performance (2015) and Belgium Rules/Belgian Rules (2017), which toured internationally for many years. More recently, he performed in The Fluid Force of Love (2021) and is currently part of Peak Mytikas (On the Top of Mount Olympus)—an eight-hour performance (2023), Troubleyn/Jan Fabre’s latest production. In 2014, Fabre created Attends Attends Attends, pour mon père specifically for and with Charron, inspired by Charron’s life. Since the formation of the Jan Fabre Teaching Group, Charron has been actively involved in training new generations of performers. Beyond his work with Fabre, he has spent over 20 years creating performances alongside Annabelle Chambon and has collaborated with artists such as Boris Charmatz, Renaud Cojo, Thierry de Mey, Michèle Anne de Mey, Fatou Traoré, Filip Sangdor, and other.
